Keinem anderen Berliner DJ-Act konnte man in den letzten Monaten so glasklar bei der konstanten Erweiterung der eigenen Reichweite und Bekanntheit zuschauen wie DJ FUCKOFF. Die Neuseeländerin beantwortete in einem Interview die Frage nach ihrem Musikstil damit, dass sie alles etwas sexier mache. Wir fühlen! Weiterhin ist der eigene Name natürlich Programm: Blitzartige Übergänge von Breakbeat zu hartem Techno zurück zu Ghetto House, Electro und Footwork. Genregrenzen spielen keine Rolle, wichtig ist das Augenzwinkern und der Sex Appeal. Deshalb machen DJ FUCKOFF Sets einfach Spaß, sie sind eine erholsame Auszeit vom Techno-Mackertum (genderunabhängig). Als Produzentin bleibt DJ FUCKOFF sich und dem Experiment treu. Von reduzierten Technosounds (“fuck a lil mo”) über dreamy Drum’n’Bass-Tracks (“Dreams of Luv”) bis zu Wavy Clubsounds (“Sex U”) ist alles dabei.

In an interview, the New Zealander answered the question about her music style by saying that she makes everything a little sexier. We absolutely feel that! Furthermore, the name reveals it all: lightning transitions from breakbeat to hard techno back to ghetto house, electro and footwork. Genre limitations do not matter here. The wink and the sex appeal are what counts. That’s why DJ FUCKOFF sets are simply fun and might be considered are a relaxing break from macho-like (gender independent) techno. DJ FUCKOFF stays true to herself and the experiment as a producer.
