Web Edition

How Balance Club / Culture Festival – Web Edtion works: We publish the contributions according to ⤵︎ the timetable on this website. The Webfestival is free of charge, but we appreciate your support by purchasing ⤵︎ our soliticket.
From 20–24 May, our website will feature DJ sets, lectures, multimedia texts, workshops, artist talks, audio-visual works and artistic fashion-pieces. As a grand finale, we will release our Balance-Sampler “Various Artists – Tender Squads” on festival Sunday and, admittedly, fulfill our own long standing wish. The Balance Club / Culture Festival sees itself as an interface between club culture and social critique. All contributions of the festival “Tender Squads” address the question which constellations and alliances can be imagined for the emancipatory potential of a different world to unfold? Which alliances do we want to form and where do we have to insist on difference for our alternatives to be viable? What form of (feminist) care and support do we need for each other right now? Together with you we want to find out, more urgently than ever, how we can maximally destabilize structural inequalities.

Anna Adams

Club Program
Theme:
HARDER FASTER FRAGILE

Anna Adams is an artist and DJ based in Dresden, resident at objekt klein a and represented by Uncanny Valley records. In her music selection, Anna is searching for intensity by combining hard hitting beats, soothing ambient atmospheres and deeply touching melodies. She likes to meander through a variety of styles, including acid sounds, trance tunes, broken beats, house vibes and pop fancying vocals.

Anna Adams’s mix for Balance Festival entails a dramatic progression that revolves around  moments where a plus of softness increases intensity. Multiple peaks with different vibes, instead of bouncing all the way through. If this mix is a story, what is the story about? “I hope every listener will find their personal story in this. For me it’s about the challenges of change and the transformation of emotions.” Especially the track “Faire Et Refaire” is representative of the  vibrant contrast of soft and hard constitutions. This atmospherically dense mix works both for the (virtual) dance floor and a deep listening at home.
